Roofing Gutter Guard Perth

We have seen lots of gutter guards over the years with varying levels of success. In the end the best we have found is this premium quality mesh and is the one that I have installed on my own house! The photos you see here are after 5 years of installation and the gutters below the mesh are still fairly clean. In the worst locations (next to our She-Oak), the mesh has kept 90% of the she-oak needles out of the gutter. In my opinion, thats a great result.

Out of all the gutter guard I have seen, this is the one that I have been most impressed with and have hence installed over my own gutters. I've seen them all, from bottle brush gutter inserts to cheap plastic mesh from the hardware, but if you really want the job done properly, this is the way to go. The mesh is installed between the 1st and 2nd row of tiles and then is fixed to the top edge of the gutter with a small colorbond angle trim flashing.  It looks seamless and the gutter mesh material is tough - just ask me to show you a sample - you will be impressed. My gutter mesh has been installed for 5 years now, hasn't faded or deteriorated in any way. This is really the best gutter mesh I have come across and testament to its performance on my roof, I would recommend it to anyone who is sick of cleaning out their gutters, but also who want to minimise the risk of ember attack.  If you live in a bush fire prone area like I do, this mesh is bush fire rated and may prevent your home for catching on fire - many house fires start with embers landing in gutters full of dry leaves. Also, If you collect water for drinking, this gutter mesh is a great first step to ensuring your water is free from leaves and other contaminants which can taint the water.

Furthermore, if you can prevent the leaves from entering the gutter in the first place, you will prevent premature gutter and down pipe corrosion and always ensure the storm water can flow unobstructed along the guttering to the down pipes (this is something we frequently see and get called out to address - gutter overflow in heavy rain attributed to leaves). If you have soak wells installed you will also be preventing the soak wells from filling up with leaves or the subsurface piping from becoming blocked. It can be quite costly to unblock underground pipes or clear soak wells, especially if they are under paved or concrete pathways.

Even She-Oak needles (the hardest to keep out of gutters) are kept at bay. Time to give the mesh a bit of a blow down though!
