Roof Replacement Perth Hills

Another Roof Replacement in the Perth Hills

Low-pitched tiled roofs are significantly more prone to leaks due to their shallow angle, which reduces effective water runoff and increases the risk of water ingress—especially during heavy storms and strong winds. Over time, this can lead to serious damage to the roof structure, insulation, and ceilings, as well as mold growth and expensive repairs.

Replacing a low-pitched tiled roof with a Colorbond roof is a proven long-term solution. Colorbond’s sleek, continuous metal sheets are specifically engineered for low-slope applications, offering superior water resistance, durability, and low maintenance. The result is a modern, weather-resistant roofing system that protects your home for decades.

Our most recent roof replacement in the Perth Hills is a perfect example of why tiles are unsuitable for low-pitch roofs and why conversion to Colorbond was essential. The original tiled roof had a pitch of just 12 degrees—well below the minimum 15 degrees required for tile installation, and far under the 20 degrees we typically recommend. While most new homes in Perth are built with a 25-degree pitch, homes from the 1970s—like this one—often have much shallower designs that simply weren’t built to handle the intense rainfall we’re now seeing more frequently. This particular property also had structural issues, requiring major repairs to level and reinforce the roof, with some areas having sagged as much as 15 cm.

The transformation has delivered a significant improvement—not just in appearance but in performance and peace of mind. The new Colorbond roof will provide long-term protection, remain leak-free, and add real value to the home.

If you have a low-pitched roof and are experiencing issues, feel free to get in touch.
We’ll assess your roof and offer the best solution, backed by years of experience and proven results.
